"The deep dig excavator! This one is actually a commission from a guy who wanted a portrait of himself and his girlfriend turned into cute animals and I think that’s pretty adorable. She’s discovering an ancient pot filled with jelly beans."
"I’m getting ready for CAKE in Chicago, so I’m gonna be hitting hard on the production side for the next two weeks reprinting all of my books and prints of some of my favorite paintings."

Meet Supergirl with her new family the Kents, and a brand new friend, Lucy Lane!
Hey everybody! I recently had the honor of being a part of an amazing music project and I want to share it with you all. One of my best friends, Antonio Gomez, and his family recently experienced a great loss. His response was to begin the album project Mourning Song_Evening Love. Below, as well as in the video above, he explains:
Lost a lot of close loved ones lately and created an album to express the emotions. Thanks to kickstarter and many backers, I was able to produce this music in my home-studio. I hope you enjoy it!!
My last Alternative Alphabet illustration is in the current edition of The Amplifier. The paper was also kind enough to put all of my other illustrations for them & an article about the project in this edition. Click the link to my website if you want to find out more about it and about how you can help the homeless! —> (via Philip A. Buck: The Amplifier- Z is for Thanks a Zillion!)
A great piece of art by maikeplenzke:
"First of all: Happy New Year everybody!
The past year this blog was a bit quiet, as I worked a lot, made some illustrations for exhibitions and started a bigger project. The last one will keep me busy until at least june 2014, but I hope to be able to post some sketches and work from 2013 during the first half of the year to give you something to look at.
The above painting is a portrait commission from june 2013 for a father, who wrote me if I could draw his wife and little girl with their cats.He gave me a lot of freedom to draw what I think (he mentioned that his wife loved gardening) and even more time to do it, so I had a lot of fun and it was a pleasure to work on it.
Thanks again by the way to all the people who started following this blog over time. The number of followers at the side of my dashboard is mindblowing!”
